Walser Subaru Shares 100 Free Trees in Burnsville, MN
A Simple Act That Will Grow for Years to Come
Sometimes the most meaningful impact starts small. A single tree. A short conversation. A moment where a community comes together.
At Walser Subaru in Burnsville, Minnesota, our team had the opportunity to create one of those moments through the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative. What started as a simple tree giveaway turned into something much bigger. It became a way for local families to take part in making their own neighborhoods greener, healthier, and more connected.
Bringing Subaru Loves the Earth to Burnsville, Minnesota
Through Subaru’s partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, more than 1.1 million trees have been distributed nationwide. It is the largest corporate tree distribution effort in the foundation’s history, with a focus on giving communities trees that are right for their local environment.
At Walser Subaru, we brought that mission directly to the Twin Cities.
We hosted a community tree giveaway at our dealership in Burnsville, where 100 trees were given to local residents at no cost. Each one was chosen to thrive in Minnesota’s climate and provide long-term environmental benefits.
The trees included:
- Red Maples
- Allegheny Serviceberries
- River Birch
Each tree now has a home somewhere in our community. Backyards, front lawns, and shared spaces where they will continue to grow for years to come.
More Than a Giveaway
The event was about more than just handing out trees.
It was about giving people the opportunity to take part in something lasting. Families stopped by, neighbors connected, and there was a shared sense that even small actions can make a real difference.
A tree may seem simple in the moment, but over time it provides shade, improves air quality, supports local wildlife, and adds beauty to the place we call home.
That is the kind of impact that continues long after the event is over.
Showing Up for Our Local Parks
Our commitment to the environment did not stop at the dealership.
Our team also spent time at Crystal Lake Park West, helping clean up the space and keep it welcoming for the community. It was another way to support the same mission. Taking care of the places we all share.
Why This Matters in Minnesota
In Minnesota, we take pride in our seasons, our parks, and our outdoor spaces. From neighborhood trails to local lakes, these places are part of everyday life.
That is why efforts like this matter.
They help preserve what makes this area special while giving people a simple way to be part of it. Whether it is planting a tree or helping clean up a park, these actions build stronger communities.
What Is Subaru Loves the Earth?
Subaru Loves the Earth is part of the larger Subaru Love Promise, focused on protecting and preserving the environment for future generations. Programs like this tree distribution effort are designed to make a real impact at the local level while contributing to a larger national effort.
What the Subaru Love Promise Looks Like in Action
The Subaru Love Promise is about more than words. It is about showing up and doing the work.
For us, that means finding ways to give back that feel real and meaningful. Not just for a day, but in ways that last.
This tree giveaway is one example of that. A small action that will continue to grow, season after season.
At Walser Subaru, we are proud to be part of a community that cares, and we look forward to continuing to support initiatives that make a difference right here in Burnsville and across the Twin Cities.
