Subaru Gives New Australian-Bound Impreza a Spicy Update

In June 2010, Subaru Australia introduced the high-riding Impreza XV to the Australian market, hoping to attract a younger, more active demographic. Taking that effort one giant step further, Subaru Australia is teaming with Japanese sports accessory brand Mizuno to create the special-edition Subaru Impreza XV Mizuno. Offering a limited-edition color (Paprika Red), the new car offers more than $3,000 worth of extra features.

The 2011 Subaru Impreza XV Mizuno gains a Garmin satellite navigation system, roof cross bars and carrier system for surfboards and skis, a cargo tray, carpet mats, bonnet and headlamp protectors, and Mizuno badges. As if that's not enough to run circles for, all new Impreza Mizuno models also come with a $500 voucher redeemable on Mizuno premium running packs (including two pairs of shoes, drink bottles, hats, and bags). With a mere 250 Impreza XV Mizuno models for sale, starting in March of this year, buyers will certainly stand out from the crowd.

All Impreza variants carry Subaru's five-star crashworthiness rating for occupant safety from the independent Australian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP). In addition, every new Subaru comes standard with dual front and side curtain airbags, and Vehicle Dynamics Controlled electronic stability system.

The Impreza XV Mizuno is priced at $29,990 for a manual and $31,990 for an automatic. On-road costs are included.
